Time Spent is where I think aloud about the invisible labor that shapes our lives—outside of our paid jobs, but still work: caring for family and home, tending our mental and physical health, navigating media, making art, and stewarding civic life. Since 2019 I’ve been designing tools and frameworks to aide those reflections. In this season, I’m building The Library—a living, searchable archive of my favorite essays, prompts, and frameworks, organized around the questions I keep returning to.

What I Write About

Assign Me a Public Prompt – $200
Each resource in the library is the outcome of me ā€œthinking through a feeling,ā€ be it about work or life, and building an exercise for myself to navigate that moment. If you want help navigating yours, submit your situation here and I’ll draft a short, shareable prompt as a free public issue.

Hire Me to Design a Private Resource – [custom quote]
Need a private deep-dive to guide a personal inquiry or group dialogue? Submit here and we’ll talk scope and price to build a solo resource or mini-brief just for you.

Book Office Hours - 30 min • $85
A collaborative, off-the-record call to brainstorm your project or workshop your ideas. I’m not a coach, but I will listen, ask questions, and help you organize yourself creatively!

Who I am

After producing and consuming journalism for about a decade, I’ve come to view it as a mindset (and corresponding set of tools) for observing the world and listening to people that can be applied to virtually any situation.Ā I’m currently trying to apply this mindset to my daily life.Ā You can see the formal stuffĀ here.Ā I am also occasionally onĀ TwitterĀ andĀ Instagram.
